Buxaduar, the northern Door for the Bhutan hills. Once the Border Head Quarter for of Britishers; .a Sub Divisional Town of Jalpaiguri District. The Hill Series name derived from the famous Buxa Fort. The fort, historically, was a Militarry Barack during Colonial period and a Detention Camp during Indian Freedom Movement. Presently, the Buxa Tiger Reserve is also named after the Fort. The Historical Buxa Fort is the prime attarction of this area.
Dukpas Hut, is the only Trekkers' Hut at Buxa Fort ground (locally known as Dilchhoka), in the Buxa Dolomite Hill Series of Sinchula range, Bhutan Sub Hilmalaya. The Dukpas Hut Home stay is having two (2) numbersof Family Rooms on 1st floor with attached toilet (Western Style), and one Dormitory (3 Beds) on the ground floor with a separate facility for Bath & Toilet (Indian Style). A large Veranda is here for Dining and enjoying the view with relaxing mood. The home stay is basically known as Birder's Nest.
